About BiodeCCodiNNg

BiodeCCodiNNg is a European research initiative dedicated to advancing sustainable chemistry through biocatalysis. The project brings together academic and industry partners from across Europe to explore innovative enzymatic reactions, focusing on carbon–carbon (C–C) and nitrogen–nitrogen (N–N) bond-forming enzymes—referred to as CCzymes and NNzymes. By complementing traditional chemical methods, the initiative aims to make synthetic processes more flexible, efficient, and environmentally friendly.

As part of the Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, BiodeCCodiNNg Doctoral Network is also committed to training the next generation of scientists in cutting-edge enzyme technologies. The program supports 10 PhD candidates through a doctoral training network that promotes interdisciplinary research and strong collaboration between academic and industrial partners. Research within the network ranges from enzyme discovery and engineering to industrial implementation, targeting applications in pharmaceutical and industrial biotechnology. By expanding the enzyme toolbox available for biotechnological processes, BiodeCCodiNNg contributes to the development of cleaner and more sustainable chemical processes.

As a satellite event to the 6th NextGenBiocat symposium, BiodeCCodiNNg conference will bring you keynote talks from leading specialists in the field and invite you to posters and oral presentations by our PhD candidates—an excellent opportunity to learn about novel biocatalysts and engage in discussions with our early-stage researchers.

We look forward to seeing you on June 12th!
